With us, you can bring bicycles and kick scooters on both buses and trains around the clock, seven days a week. Kick scooters can be brought with your under the same rules and prices as bicycles.
What can you bring?
You are welcome to bring your regular two-wheeled bicycle on our buses and trains, if there is available space. Cargo bikes, bicycle trailers or similar cannot be brought.
Price advantage
You can bring your bicycle on all our buses and NJ-trains free of charge. .
Safety
If there isn't sufficient space, you cannot bring a bicycle. NT Travel Guarantee does not apply to bicycles.
How to
In buses, you have to use the door with the bicycle symbol, and there is space for a maximum of 2 bicycles per bus. The bicycle must be secured during the journey.
In trains, you should use the carriage with the bicycle symbol, and there is space for 6-8 bicycles per train. The bicycles must always be placed within the yellow markings on the floor for safety reasons.
Handicap bicycles
Handicap bicycles with a disability symbol from the Handicap Organizations' User Service can be brought for free on trains, provided that the bike's dimensions do not exceed W: 82 cm/L: 195 cm. You must also be able to document, that you are authorized to bring a handicap bicycle. Note that bicycles cannot be brought on train replacement buses.
Buses where you cannot bring a bicycle
On the following bus routes, there MAY be buses with steps and/or a layout that means stollers, bicycles or wheelchairs cannot be brought on board:
